Official Rules: Casa Free Rent Contest

This promotion is sponsored by The Casa Company Inc. (“Casa”).

Open to legal residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) who are the age of majority in their province or territory of residence. Employees of Casa and their immediate family members or persons living in the same household are not eligible to participate.

The promotion begins on March 13, 2026 and ends on April 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT.

Participants will receive one (1) entry for each qualifying April housing payment through Casa is processed on or before April 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT.

Participants whose Casa account has AutoPay enabled at the time of the qualifying April housing payment will receive two (2) additional entries.

Participants who complete their qualifying April housing payment using a ScotiaGold Passport® Visa Card* will receive five (5) additional entries.

No purchase necessary. To enter without making a payment, email [email protected] with the subject line “Free Rent Contest NPN Entry.” Include your full name, mailing address, phone number, and a unique, original 200-word response to the following: “What is the biggest advantage of using technology to handle housing payments? Explain how having an automated, digital record of your housing costs helps you plan your other financial goals more effectively.” Limit one (1) no-purchase entry per person. Incomplete or non-compliant submissions may be disqualified. Email entries must be received before April 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT.

One (1) winner will receive a prize intended to cover their May 2026 housing payment, up to a maximum value of $5,000 CAD.

If the winner made a qualifying April 2026 housing payment through Casa, Casa will apply a payment within the Casa platform toward the winner’s May 2026 housing payment, equal to the amount of their first qualifying April 2026 housing payment processed, up to $5,000 CAD.

If the winner entered through the no-purchase method, the prize will be delivered as a cash payment by electronic transfer (e-transfer) equal to the winner’s verified April 2026 housing payment, up to $5,000 CAD. The winner will be required to provide documentation verifying their April 2026 housing payment. If the winner does not have a rent or condominium housing payment, the prize will be a cash payment of $200 CAD.

Casa is not responsible for unsuccessful prize delivery due to incorrect or incomplete contact information provided by the winner. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be substituted except at Casa’s sole discretion.

Winner will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received on or about April 10, 2026. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

The selected winner will be required to provide documentation verifying their April 2026 housing payment within 72 hours of notification. This may include, but is not limited to: a fully executed residential lease agreement or condominium ownership documentation, proof of the landlord’s identity, and/or utility bills corresponding to the service address. Casa reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant if the housing payment cannot be verified as a legitimate, arms-length residential rental or condominium fee obligation. The selected winner will be contacted by email and must correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question and execute a Declaration and Release Form to claim the prize. If the selected entrant cannot be reached or fails to provide the required documentation or signed release within 72 hours, another winner may be selected.

Only completed and valid housing payments qualify for entry. If a payment is reversed, refunded, disputed, or cancelled, associated entries may be voided. Payments must be made to an arm’s-length third-party landlord or property management company. Payments made to oneself, family members, or entities controlled by the participant for the purpose of “manufacturing” entries are strictly prohibited. Any such attempt to circumvent the spirit of the promotion will result in immediate disqualification and the voiding of all associated entries.

Casa reserves the right to verify eligibility and review transactions for compliance with these rules prior to awarding the prize. Casa may disqualify any participant who tampers with the entry process, submits fraudulent entries, or uses duplicate or suspected fraudulent accounts. Casa may modify, suspend, or cancel the promotion if necessary. By participating in this promotion, entrants agree to these official rules.

By accepting the prize, the winner agrees that Casa may use their name, city, and prize details in promotional materials, including website or social media announcements, without additional compensation unless prohibited by law.

Personal information will be used only for administering this promotion in accordance with Casa’s privacy policy.
