The ScotiaGold Passport® Visa* Card is issued by The Bank of Nova Scotia.
References to being "the first credit card in Canada that lets you pay rent or condo fees with no transaction fees" (or variations thereof) are based on Casa's review of publicly available information related to housing payments made on credit cards in Canada as of October 1, 2025.
Casa charges a transaction fee when a credit card is used to make payments through the Casa platform, which will be waived for cardholders of the ScotiaGold Passport® Visa* Card. It is not a fee charged by the issuing bank (such as The Bank of Nova Scotia as issuer of the ScotiaGold Passport® Visa* Card).
Scotiabank will waive the annual fee on the ScotiaGold Passport® Visa* Card for the primary card issued on or after October 29, 2025 and for each additional card(s) issued on the Account during the first 12 months of the Account opening date.
Eligibility and Exclusions: Individuals who are currently or were previously primary or secondary ScotiaGold Passport® Visa* cardholders in the 2 years preceding October 29, 2025 are not eligible for the Offer. Subject to the above exclusions, Scotiabank small business credit cardholders are also eligible for the Offer.
Rates and Fees: The current annual fee is $110 for the primary card and $30 for each additional card (including those issued to co-borrowers and supplementary cardholders). The current preferred annual interest rates for the Account are: 19.99% on purchases and 22.99% on cash advances (including balance transfers and cash-like transactions). All rates, fees, features and benefits are outlined in the Application Disclosure Statement and are subject to change.
To qualify for the Bonus Scene+™ Points Offer, make sure to open a new ScotiaGold Passport® Visa* Card card account (“Account”) between October 29, 2025 and October 28, 2027. To qualify for 10,000 bonus Scene+ points, make at least $2,000 in everyday eligible purchases in your first 3 months. Once you qualify, 10,000 bonus Scene+ points will be credited to the applicable Scene+ membership account approximately 8 weeks after the qualifying $2,000 in eligible purchases being posted to your Account within the first 3 months of Account opening.
Note: For joint Accounts, the 10,000 bonus Scene+ points will be credited to the Scene+ account linked to the Account of the borrower that completed the last transaction to meet the qualifying amount of eligible purchases. Individuals who are currently or were previously primary or secondary ScotiaGold Passport® Visa* cardholders in the 2 years preceding October 29, 2025 are not eligible for the Offer. Subject to the above exclusions, Scotiabank small business credit cardholders are also eligible for the Offer.
When using the ScotiaGold Passport® Visa* Card, you are awarded one (1) Scene+ Point for every $1.00 in recurring bill payments that are charged and posted on your ScotiaGold Passport® Visa* Card Account for housing, condominium or rental payments made online on or through the eligible online platform (the “Casa Platform") owned and operated by The Casa Company Inc. (each such recurring bill payment referred to as “Casa Housing Spend”) only if there is also an additional monthly amount of at least $350.00 in purchases of goods and services charged and posted to your ScotiaGold Passport® Visa* Card Account in that same month in addition to your monthly Casa Housing Spend (the “Additional Casa Spend”). We will identify the Casa Housing Spend made through the Casa Platform based on MCC of housing rental (6513) and merchant “CASA*PROPCO”. A “recurring bill payment(s)” (including one-time bill payment) means a pre-authorized payment made on a monthly (including one-time in certain cases) or regular basis that is automatically charged to your credit account that you establish directly with a merchant to make a payment to that merchant from your credit account.
If at least $350 or more in Additional Casa Spend is not achieved in any month, no Scene+ Points will be awarded for any portion of the Casa Housing Spend for that month.
Casa Housing Spend does not include Purchases, Cash Advances (including Balance Transfers, Scotia Credit Card Cheques or Cash-Like Transactions), fees, interest or other charges on the ScotiaGold Passport® Visa* Card Account, payments (other than the Casa Housing Spend), or returns, refunds or other similar credits.
Please allow up to 60 days for the Scene+ Points earned on Casa Housing Spend to be applied to your Scene+ membership account after the month in which the Casa Housing Spend and the minimum Additional Casa Spend was posted to your Account. In some cases, your monthly ScotiaGold Passport® Visa* Card Account statements for the relevant month may not reflect the most up-to-date Scene+ Points earned on Casa Housing Spend. For the most up-to-date information, you can log into the Program Site where Scene+ Points balances are updated daily for your Scene+ Account based on the transactions that have been posted to the Scene+ Account as of that date.
In the event that the Casa Housing Spend for which Scene+ Points were allocated is dishonoured or returned for any reason, Scene+ Points allocated for such Casa Housing Spend will be deducted automatically from the Scene+ Account. Your Scene+ Points balance will be reduced by the equivalent number of Scene+ Points issued for the original Casa Housing Spend. Also, in the event that any portion of a purchase that comprises your Additional Casa Spend is returned and/or exchanged for which Scene+ Points were allocated, in addition to your Scene+ Points balance being reduced by the equivalent number of Scene+ Points issued for the returned or exchanged for that purchase, this will also result in the deduction of any Scene+ Points allocated to your Casa Housing Spend if the minimum Additional Casa Spend of $350 was not achieved.
Some exclusions in locations may apply for which Scene+ Points will not be earned on Casa Housing Spend. Contact Scotiabank for details.
When using a card other than the ScotiaGold Passport® Visa* Card, transaction fees vary depending on your payment method and the property where you live. You will always see the exact fee displayed clearly when you sign up with your address and before you confirm any payment. See Terms & Conditions for more details.
