Why was my card declined during setup?

Updated over 2 months ago

Card declines can happen for a few simple reasons:

  • The billing address doesn’t match your bank’s records.

  • The card has expired or been replaced.

  • The card’s issuing bank has temporarily blocked large or online transactions.

  • The card isn’t enabled for payments in Canadian dollars.

  • The card was issued outside of Canada.

Try re-entering your details carefully or using another Visa or Mastercard with a Canadian billing address.

If your card still won’t go through, contact your bank to confirm there aren’t any holds or restrictions on your account.

📢 Good to know:

Many banks automatically block new or recurring payments from unknown merchants until you approve them. Letting your bank know about Casa in advance can help.
