Why is Casa asking for my property address?

Updated over a week ago

Your property address is used to set up your payment correctly and make sure your landlord or property manager receives the funds.

When you enter your address, Casa uses it to determine how your payment should be handled and where it should be delivered.

Why your address is required

When you add a property in Casa, we use your address to:

  • Identify your landlord or property manager

  • Determine whether your property is already connected to Casa

  • Link your payment to the correct unit or account

  • Ensure your payment is delivered accurately and securely

You do not need to know whether your property is connected. Casa determines this automatically during setup.

What happens after you enter your address

Once your address is entered, Casa checks whether your landlord or property manager is already connected.

  • If they are connected:
Payments are routed automatically, and you will not need to enter recipient details.

    OR

  • If they are not yet connected:
Casa still allows you to continue. You’ll be asked to enter your landlord or property manager’s details so we can deliver the payment on your behalf.

A final note

Your address ensures that your payment is sent to the correct recipient, your unit or account is properly identified, and your payment is applied correctly. This helps prevent delays or misapplied payments.
